Come out for the Fullerton Sawmill Day, Saturday, November 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fullerton Lake Recreation Complex in Vernon Parish.
This fun event is FREE and great for the entire family with pony rides, demonstrations such as quilting and candle making, portable sawmill in action, woodsman skills, live music performed by Jay Powell and his band, and delicious food available for purchase to support the Fullerton Community Association.
This site, which was once the largest sawmill west of the Mississippi River, will come to life as you view the historical exhibits of photos, artifacts, and talk to historians.
