Vernon Parish has officially been part of the Louisiana landscape for more than 150 Years! While we celebrated the Sesquicentennial at special events and happenings throughtout 2021, check out our 150-year history!

With a great history of pioneering spirit, from its earliest days as part of the No Man’s Land, the neutral strip between Spain and the United States, to the reign of lumber, to its vital part of training soldiers to this day, Vernon Parish has cultivated legends and heroes for more than a century.
