Located next to the Vernon Parish Fairgrounds off LA Hwy. 8 West, the pool is perfect for parents and small children with its zero depth entry. 

The Louisiana Playday Riding Club will host Jackpot Barrels and Poles on the second and fourth Friday of every month from March through November at the Vernon Parish Fairgrounds. Gates will open at 4:30pm and the event begins at 6:30pm.

The Leesville Municipal Golf Course offers a 9-hole course, covering 10 acres of gently rolling hills, and features 2,821 yards of golf for a par of 35. 

An enclosed park with playground equipment shaded by lofty pines will provide hours of outdoor fun for children of all ages. Grills are located near several open-air pavilions for family picnics. 

Located in the old Leesville State School, the pool is 25 yards long and features depths up to 10 feet, as well as a diving board. 

The Leesville Recreation Complex is home to 5 lighted baseball/softball fields and a soccer field with a centrally located concession stand. Located next to the Vernon Parish Fairgrounds off LA Hwy. 8 West. 

Located on Abe Allen Memorial Drive across from West Leesville Elementary School, Magnolia Park features a walking path, covered benches and playground equipment for children.

Frisbee Golf. The course, built as an Eagle Scout project, was built by Brooks Cowan and Boy Scout Troop 75. The 9-hole course can be modified to 18 holes by first completing the 9 holes, then turning and playing the same 9 holes in reverse.

Seeing Colors is a boarding stable just off Alligator Lake Rd, near North Fort Polk. They offer riding classes as well as both short and long-term boarding.

WWRC provides barrel racing, straightaway barrels, flags, stakes, poles, dummy roping, breakaway roping, heeling, heading, tie down, goat tying, and ribbon roping. These events are for all ages.

Wolf Rock is located in the Vernon Unit of the Calcasieu Ranger District of the Kisatchie National Forest. Archaeological evidence shows that primitive peoples once used the cave as a habitation. The Enduro Multi-Use Trail is the only trail in the Vernon Unit of the Kisatchie National Forest that has been approved for Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs).
